I am honored to be included in this juried exhibition, the theme of which could not be better suited to my current work. I only submitted one piece for the show, “Restraint” and, for those unable to attend, you may see it here. It is a continuation of the Entanglement series. Here is the description I included in my application:
“This sculpture began at an end. Uprooted from my garden, decay revealed form and another life suggested itself. Restraint is an act of controlling, limiting energies, a pulling and pushing of materials. There is a danger of imbalance as the creature emerges, straining against an unseen hand. What was hidden underneath becomes a reflection above, surfacing through this process, allowing me stillness, quiet and a space of release.”
